About Us

illuminate kids exists to help children discover who God is and who He has created them to be! illuminate kids provides a loving, safe, and fun environment where children can learn and grow in their faith.

When do we meet?

illuminate kids meets every Sunday. Doors open at 9:40.

What do we do?

illuminate kids serves children from birth – 5th grade. Our school-aged children use 252 Basics curriculum. Through this curriculum, children are taught three basic truths, taken from Luke 2:52:

  1. I need to make the wise choice (wisdom)

  2. I can trust God no matter what (faith)

  3. I should treat others the way I want to be treated (friendship)

Babies and Pre-K

Our Babies – Preschool age kids use First Look curriculum. Through age appropriate activities, preschoolers are building their spiritual foundation so that by the time they graduate to Kindergarten they know these three basic truths:

  1. God Made Me

  2. God Loves Me

  3. Jesus Wants To Be My Friend Forever

Each week at illuminate kids, children will be presented with an engaging and relevant lesson that teaches from these truths. They will also experience dynamic worship, exciting games, and plenty of opportunities to build relationships.

Groups are a part of our Sunday Service. Our kids will come together by grades and will grow deeper with the biblical teaching they learned earlier in the morning. They are then given a God Time Card, where the parents and their children are able to discuss what they learned on Sunday all throughout the week. Listed below, are how we assign the children to their group.

  • Babies (Birth – 23 months)

  • Toddlers (2-3 years old)

  • Preschool (4-5 years old)

  • Elementary (Kindergarten - 5th Grade)

  • K-1st Grade small group

  • 2nd-3rd Grade small group

  • 4th-5th Grade small group

Elementary Current Series: Show “Brave the Stage”

Courage – Being brave enough to do what you should do, even when you’re afraid. Throughout our lives, God may ask us to take risks or do something we may not feel prepared to do. But God will also give us the courage we need to face that challenge. We see this as Jesus faced death on the cross. He chose to be brave and follow through on God’s plan.

Each week our Elementary students can continue focusing on what we are learning at home with their family. We encourage our kids to bring their completed weekly GodTime Card’s with them the following week. This is a great way for children to earn Watt Bucks.

Preschool Current Series: Super Kids “God can help me be brave”

Bravery – We all want to be strong and courageous. We all want to say we would be brave when faced with fear. But how? What can help us be brave? How can our preschoolers be strong and courageous SUPER KIDS without the capes and super powers we see in the movies? This month we plan on giving preschoolers the answers to all of these questions while having some superhero fun!

What are Watt Bucks?

Watt Bucks are a reward system that encourages our elementary kids to participate, learn memory verses, and come to class prepared. Watt Bucks can be used to purchase items in our Kids Store the second Sunday of each month.

Parent Cue?

The Parent Cue provides some specific ways for you, the parent, to reinforce at home what your child is learning at church.

God Time Cards?

The GodTime card provides your elementary student with daily devotions to reinforce the lesson they learned in class the previous weekend.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will My Child Be Safe?

Safety is our top priority at illuminate kids. All of our volunteers undergo background checks and training, and our check-in system ensures that only authorized adults can pick up a child. We now have a security team that controls who is able to enter, and leave the children’s area. Your child will be safe and well cared for at illuminate.

Can I Stay With My Child During Service?

In order to maintain the safety and integrity of our ministry, our policy is to allow only background- checked adults to stay in the cafeteria with the children once service starts. If you are needed at any time during the service, the number on the Parent Receipt that you receive at check-in will appear on the screen in the main auditorium.

Can My Child Attend If They Are Sick?

Please refer to our Wellness Policy

Does My Child Need To Bring Anything On Sunday Mornings?

If your child is still in diapers, please provide a diaper bag with diapers and wipes. If your child will need a bottle during service, please provide one for the nursery leaders, who will label the bottle and feed your child based on your instructions. Otherwise, all your child needs to bring on a Sunday morning is a teachable spirit!
