The Harvest Is Plentiful

"Then Jesus made a circuit of all the towns and villages. He taught in their meeting places, reported kingdom news, and healed their diseased bodies, healed their bruised and hurt lives. When he looked out over the crowds, his heart broke. So confused and aimless they were, like sheep with no shepherd. “What a huge harvest!” he said to his disciples. “How few workers! On your knees and pray for harvest hands!”"
-Matthew 9:35-38 MSG

Laborers: The good of a harvest can go to waste if there are no laborers to take advantage of the bounty.

- We can have people in the chairs, but no workers. It's a heart attitude! The focus has to always be "The Great Commission", there are people like sheep without a shepherd. Let's bring them into the fold, but we can only do that if we accept the call.

- Since the Harvest belongs to the Lord of the Harvest. we are commanded to pray that He would compel workers to reap His Harvest. Are we diligently seeking God to be the workers and asking for our brothers and sisters to join us in the movement?

Jesus Gave Them Authority

Directly after Jesus tells them to pray for the laborers, He gives them Authority.

Jesus didn't only call the twelve; He also gave them power to do what He called them to do. The same principle holds true today: whom God calls, God equips. The equipping may not be completely evident before the ministry beings, but it will be evident along the way.

- I believe God doesn't fully reveal sometimes, because we quickly forget that it's not in our own power, but in His power.

THE CHALLENGE

//PRAY FOR LABORERS
//SEEK GOD ABOUT YOUR CALLING
   //ASK FOR HIS AUTHORITY
   //WALK BOLDLY, EVEN IF YOU DON'T KNOW ALL THE ANSWERS
